Common trial questions.
How long is the trial?
14 days standard. We extend on request when you need more time to get the right approvers in the room or to finish a real-world test.
Where does the trial run?
On your infrastructure. Pick on-prem, your cloud account, or an isolated network. Same product, same install. We do not run the trial in a 12Port-hosted sandbox. You should evaluate against your real assets.
Do we need to give 12Port credentials to anything?
No. The broker authenticates against your IdP and stores credentials in the vault on your infrastructure. 12Port engineering never sees your secrets.
What happens at the end of the trial?
If you decide to move forward, the same install becomes your production deployment with a paid license. No rebuild, no migration. If you don’t, the broker stops accepting sessions and you keep the recordings + audit trail you generated.
Can MSPs run a multi-tenant trial?
Yes. The trial includes the multi-tenant control plane. Most MSP trials stand up 2–3 customer tenants to validate the per-tenant audit and reporting before signing.
